Following our first extremely successful event recently we are repeating it for you in the spring. This will be from November 3rd 2019 to November 10th. Over the course of 7 days you'll get a real taste of what it's like living in an ecovillage, it'll include theory and some hands on activities like working in the community gardens and walking along the river.
Every forth weekend of the month those who wish to try out the Peace Valley experience are welcome. Join us from Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon. Enjoy the nature immersion, digital detox, community experience, simple lifestyle and slowing down!
This event was held on 3-4 August 2019 with a great turnout of 30 for a talk by Aunty Marcia of the Githabul Rangers on Saturday followed by a walk down to the twin pools at Trough Creek and 12 joined us for the whole weekend taking part in the weaving on Sunday. The cooking and singing by the fire Saturday evening and the deep sharing and meditation Sunday morning were very special.
Over 20 of us came together from September 7th to the 10th 2018 for a relaxing, sistering, Nature-connected weekend in the lovely surrounds of Peace Valley Australian Bush Retreat. This was a beautiful opportunity for us to gather as women and TreeSisters and weave deeper connections with one another. Gathering in person and calling forth the highest expression of each other was strengthening, encouraging, empowering and fun! This gathering provided a delicious opportunity to immerse in stunning, natural surroundings in a very simple way ...
On the 14 and 15.04.2018 we did the first stage planting of an edible forest garden grove at Bindarrabi. Following the format of Dragon Dreaming we spent as much time on dreaming, planning and celebrating our work as we did actually planting. As a result of tis the work became play and everyone had a great time. We created a spiral of native edibles which will be continually added to over time to bring in differing levels of canopy and as wide a variety of plants and trees as possible. The grove has been dedicated to #treesisters
A short retreat was held at Peace Valley camp from 14th to 17th September 2017 led by Caresse Cranwell. The event included a full day in silent meditation beside Trough Creek, preparation on the day before and debriefing and closing the day after. It was a beautiful group, a rich experience, deeply rewarding for all.
The Killarney Bushcare Group is a subgroup of Landcare who are interested in maintaining the biodiversity and health of local forests. Work is done in and around Killarney, Queen Mary Falls and the Cambanoora Gorge. Some projects are on public and some on private land. Everything from seed saving and propagation to planting, mulching and weeding is undertaken by the group. We meet at 10 am for a couple of hours work then to finish the day we share lunch. It's a fun way to meet like minded people from the local area.
